Arrest made in connection with vehicle break-ins

A male juvenile has been arrested in connection with the sheriff’s alert that was issued two weeks ago, said Thayer County Sheriff David Lee.

On Aug. 7, the sheriff’s office issued an alert stating that they had received reports from several Hebron citizens that someone had gotten into their cars and had gone through their belongings.

Reports of the same type were also coming from Deshler.

This arrest clears approximately a dozen break-ins of vehicles in both Hebron and Deshler.

The arrest also led to the recovery of a stolen firearm that was taken in a residential burglary in rural Deshler.
