Nebraska State Fly-In Air Show Comes to Hebron: City Council Approves Offsite Parking
The Hebron Municipal Airport will be hosting the 2015 Nebraska State Fly-In.
The 23rd annual show will be held June 15, 2015, on the anniversary of D-Day.
Next summer’s show will include air show performers as well as family entertainment.
On Oct. 6, at the last city council meeting, the council members approved to allow parking for the event pending the availability.
The Community Center is one of their considerations.
According to Jeff Friesen, who approached the council on behalf of the air show, the event is estimated to attract between 3,000 to 10,000 people.
They would like to host between 30-70 airplanes, a car show and a military vehicle show.
Friesen came to the council for offsite parking assistance because they are “trying to funnel that money into the city.”
The event organizers are trying to make the event family oriented.
More details of the event will become available as the date becomes closer.
