Bridge Work to Begin on N-4 East of Davenport

Iowa Erosion Control, Inc., of Victor, Iowa, has the $58,552 contract.
Work includes removing and replacing the approach slab on the east end of the bridge.
During the closure, a detour will be in place.
For N-4 eastbound traffic, follow N-14 north to the junction of N-14 and N-74, then east on N-74 to the junction of N-74 and N-81.
For N-4 westbound traffic, follow US-81 north to the junction of N-74 west and US-81, then west on N-74 to the junction of N-14 and N-74.
Local traffic should use an alternate route.
Work on the project is anticipated to be completed in early July.
The Department of Roads’ project manager is Kevin Kohmetscher of Hastings.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through the construction zones, along detours and selected alternate routes.
