Speed Limit Increase on US 81 Near Hebron

The Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR) Traffic Engineering Division recently completed an engineering study along US-81 near the City of Hebron.

The study was required by State Statute and performed with guidance found in the Federal Highway Administration’s Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

Based on the results of the study, NDOR will be increasing the speed limit along the highway to 65 miles per hour near Hebron.

The speed limits will be adjusted at or around July 27 in coordination with the completion of the current highway improvement project in the area.

The existing post-mounted speed limit signs will remain in place and be adjusted to the new posted speed limits.
