Thayer Central Homecoming is Sept. 14.

Thayer Central will hold its annual Homecoming celebration Friday, Sept. 14, in the game against Fillmore Central. All homecoming activities scheduled for the week will take place as originally planned.

TC Superintendent Drew Harris said the football team is “going to play Homecoming at the Legion Field on Sept. 14.”

He said he expects the Homecoming game to be the school’s farewell to the old field as the team gets ready to move to the new field located at the school’s campus. Bleachers installation has been the holdup at the new field, he said. “They should begin work on them this week and a realistic time frame is three weeks to completion.”

Last week it was announced that the Homecoming event had been moved to Oct. 5. “This is not the case,” the superintendent said. “It will be Sept. 14 as originally planned.”
