Thayer Central holds color run for Majestic Theatre project
Thayer Central Community Schools with the help of Public Health Solutions and the No Child Left on Their Behind grant held a color run Sunday to raise funds for the Majestic Theatre project. A color run is simply a cross country jogging event with color thrown in – literally. As joggers run past “color stations,” they are covered in paint as they make their way through the course. In this case, the paint was a corn starch and Tempra paint powder that stuck to runners as they passed through. The Thayer Central event had over 175 participate in the 2-mile run held at the Hebron Sports Complex and along the Hebron walking trail. The color stations were manned by over 40 Thayer Central high school track students.
