ACT hits $60,000 goal – new screen installed
The Arts Council of Thayer County is on track to bringing the area its first digital movie theater. Last week a new projection screen was hung and installation of the new digital projector is just around the corner. “Next we’ll hang new wall covering, something we didn’t anticipate; however the old covering was so rotten we were forced to find new,” said Council member and volunteer Deb Cossaart. “When we tried to clean it, it just fell apart.” Volunteers have removed all of the old theater seats and will replace them with newer models once the flooring and wall covering are finished.
