Hebron Student Takes Senior Dancer of the Year
Kassie Kent, Fairbury, took first place in the Senior Solo Division, the Double Platinum award and was the Senior Dancer of the Year winner. She received a medal, crown and special sweatshirt.
Kent is part of The Edge competition team, a dance team based in Crete’s Dance Co. in Crete, Neb.
The team competed in the Rainbow Dance Competition held at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs Feb. 28 and 29.
The 54 dancers of the Edge competition team are from all three studios owned by director Tamara Culhane: The Dance Project of Hebron, Studio 3 of Fairbury and Crete’s Dance Co. The teachers and choreographers are: Tamara Culhane, Tayler Culhane and Sara Pohlmann.
All 20 dance entries received high honors as well as top high point scores, Most Entertaining Award, Video of The Year honor, Senior Dancer of the Year in solos, five judges choice awards and special dance invites to N.Y.C. for the senior tap and jazz dancers.
