Area Easter Egg Hunts set for this weekend

Below is a list of Easter Egg Hunts that will take place this week around the county.

Hebron: The Hebron Lions Club will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m., in  Willard Park. Tiny tots (ages one and two) through the fourth grade are invited to participate. Each age group will have its own section strewn with eggs containing candy and cash.

Belvidere: Belvidere’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Centennial Park on Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m.
There will be plenty of eggs and prizes for area children from preschool age through sixth grade. Children are asked to bring their favorite toy bunny and show and tell about it at the museum following the hunt for an extra prize. The Belvidere Woman’s Club sponsors this annual event.

Bruning: The annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the Pastimes Activities Club, will be held Saturday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m., at the Bruning school gymnasium. (Enter through the east doors.) Children up to nine years old are invited to attend. The Easter bunny will be available for pictures.

Byron: The annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Town and Country Club will be held at the Byron school grounds on Saturday, April 19, at 1:30 p.m. All children, infant through grade four, are welcome.

Carleton: The annual Easter Egg Hunt co-sponsored by the Carleton Businessmen’s Club and Legion Auxiliary will be held on Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. Children pre-school through 10 years are welcome to meet at the Carleton School building. Bring your cameras, the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance.

Chester: The Chester Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 19, beginning at 1:30 p.m., in the Chester north park. Ages walking through fourth grade are invited to hunt.

Davenport: The Achievement Board will sponsor Davenport’s annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 19, at 10 a.m. Children up and through the fourth grade are invited to search for eggs at the city park.

Deshler: Children from age one and older are invited to participate in the Deshler Area Chamber’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 19, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Children aged one year through kindergarten  may hunt for eggs at Parkview Haven. Children in the first grade through the sixth may hunt for eggs in the City Park immediately following the younger children’s hunt.

Gilead: The annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by local businesses, will take place Friday, April 18, at 2 p.m. Children up to and through sixth grade are invited to participate. Meet at Pioneers Inn.

Hubbell: The Hubbell Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Hubbell Woman’s Club will be held Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. It will take place at the Hubbell Park.
