County property information now available at the click of a mouse

County Assessor Karla Joe and the Thayer County Commissioners are pleased to announce that Thayer County property information is now available to the public, 24/7, in an enhanced mapping format on the internet at http://thayer.gisworkshop.com through a partnership with GIS Workshop, Inc.

Visitors to the user-friendly mapping site will now find county property information at their fingertips through the property search tool. The search fields allow searches by parcel identification, owner, address, or legal description.

“We are pleased to provide this information to the residents of Thayer County in an attractive, easy-to-navigate web format,” Joe states. “Full data regarding values, taxes, and even a photo of the property is now available.”

Additional enhancements to the site include measurement, quick identify, photo, and editing tools as well as the ability to zoom in and out, plus aerial imagery slider bars. “This enhanced site allows anyone to access our GIS mapping information quickly and easily,” Joe adds.

Departments featured as separate tabs on the site include Assessor, Emergency Management, Planning and Zoning, and Roads. Individual tabs include department-specific maps and tools of interest to the public.
