Goff sentenced to probation in District Court

Thayer County District Court was held last Thursday, Feb. 6.

Misty Goff was set for sentencing during the day. She was arrested as part of the drug sweep that began last May and continued throughout the summer.

Goff was originally charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance, both class 1D felonies. Charges were amended when a plea agreement was reached.

Following the plea agreement, she was charged with one count of distribution of a controlled substance, a class three felony.

A pre-sentence investigation was done by the probation office. It listed Goff as a medium to high risk to reoffend.

District Judge Vicki Johnson sentenced Goff to 36 months probation.

Clinton Edwards

Clinton Edwards was set to appear in Thayer County District Court for a pretrial, but ended up entering a plea agreement last Thursday.
