Hebron to host 2014 Senior Legion State Baseball

At the Nebraska American Legion meeting on Saturday, Jan. 18, it was announced that Hebron American Legion #180 Saxton Post (home of the “Hebron Bears”) was selected to host the 2014 Senior Legion State baseball tournament.
The tournament will be held at the Hebron Sports Complex from July 26 through July 30. It will be comprised of eight area tournament champions from around the state which will be determined by July 22.  Hebron will be a busy place as many visitors from out of town  will be spending a few days here.  The Friends of Hebron Area Baseball are asking for community support, involvement and volunteers.
The Friends of Hebron Area Baseball will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 29,  at 7 p.m., at the Hebron Airport to start planning for the season, the Wood Bat Tournament, and the Class “C” State Tournament.
