Search for Grand Marshal

Thayer County Fair parade organizers want to make this year’s fair a special one as the county gets ready to celebrate its 100th anniversary.
Started in 1812, the local summer celebration will hold its centurion birthday August 9-12 at the fairgrounds site in Deshler.

Because this is a special year for the fair, parade organizers are looking for a special person to serve as Grand Marshal of the parade. The search is on for the oldest, living person that has served on the Thayer County Fair board.
