Six injured in accident at highway intersection

A three vehicle accident sent six people to the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

According to the accident report, John Farthing of Conway, Ark. was traveling west on Highway 136 in a 2002 Jeep Liberty when he failed to stop at the stop sign located at the Highway 81 intersection. His vehicle entered the intersection and collided with a north bound 1993 Chevrolet pick up driven by Lloyd Wit of Byron. This collision caused Farthing’s vehicle to overturn and strike a 1995 Dodge car driven by Joshua Callaway of Deshler. Callaway was turning east from Highway 81 onto Highway 136.
