Playoffs start Thursday

All three Thayer County High School football teams will head into the state playoffs this week. First rounds are this Thursday night; all kickoffs are at 6 p.m.

Class D1 No. 2 in the East division Bruning-Davenport/Shickley (7-1) will host Omaha Christian Academy (4-4) on the Shickley grid.

In the same class and division, the No. 16 Deshler Dragons (4-4) will face No. 1 Pender (7-0) at Pender.

Class C2 No. 15 in the West division Thayer Central (4-4) will face No. 2 Kearney Catholic (7-1) in Kearney.
