Blue Valley Bowl Owner Named Proprietor of the Year
Hebron’s Dale Klaumann, owner of Blue Valley Bowl, was named one of several recipients for the Proprietors of the Year award, one of the most prestigious honors presented by the bowling industry. The award is given by the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America (BPAA).
“I was very excited that I was elected Bowling Proprietor for the state of Nebraska,” said Klaumann. “I’ve been a bowling proprietor for over 30 years now … 15 people in the United States received the award and I was one of them. It’s quite an honor to be from a small town and receive an award like that.”
The Bowling Industry Service Awards were presented at the Annual Awards Luncheon, Wednesday, June 24, during International Bowl Expo 2015 at the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Klaumann and his wife, Janice, traveled to Nevada to receive the award and were joined by their son, David, who was working in Arizona at the time.
“Each of these award recipients are models of excellent leadership, humble service and honorable dedication, and we congratulate them for their contributions to the BPAA and the bowling industry,” said Tom Martino, BPAA President and Awards Committee Chairman.
Founded in 1932, the mission of Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America is to enhance the profitability of all its members. Headquartered in Arlington, Texas, at the International Bowling Campus, the BPAA provides over 3,500 member centers with group purchasing programs, business and educational seminars, legislative representation and proactively promotes the association and bowling industry.
