The fall football season opened for all three Thayer County High Schools last week. Thayer Central opened its season on a 35-29 victory over Cross County and will face Southern this Friday, Sept. 9, at Wymore. The Deshler Dragons went scoreless against Exeter-Milligan at Deshler last Friday. The Dragons head to Henderson to take on Heartland this Friday. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Bruning-Davenport/Shickley travels to Kenesaw this week. The game against Heartland last Friday was delayed due to a storm and no information was available.
