Flags fly for Veterans Day

Light breezes combined with lots of sunshine made for temperate weather on Friday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day. The traditional flying of the flags was held at the county courthouse all day Friday. Sitting amidst the flags etched with the names of county veterans sits the Veterans Memorial which states: “To honor the brave men and women of Thayer County who honorably served their country in war and in peace.”
