Hebron Man Arrested While Awaiting Sentencing
Kyle Wolford will sit in jail for the next few weeks after being convicted of domestic assault and third degree assault, both misdemeanor 1 charges.
The 26-year-old Hebron man was found guilty of causing bodily injury to his intimate partner and also to another man who intervened in the altercation between Wolford and his partner. Wolford was sentenced to 30 days for the domestic assault and 90 days for the third degree assault. The sentences are to run concurrently, or at the same time.
While Wolford was out on bond and awaiting sentencing for the assaults, he was arrested for another assault on Aug. 3. This time the charge is a class II felony. Wolford is alleged to have caused serious bodily injury to a man visiting the Deshler area. According to the arrest affidavit, Wolford and the man argued at a bar in Deshler before Wolford assaulted the visitor.
He is currently in jail serving his two sentences and is also being held on a $50,000/10 percent bond on the new charge. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in county court on Sept. 15.
Wolford’s criminal history indicates he was arrested in October of 2013 in California for battery.
