Local Man Arrested for Failing to Register as Sex Offender
The Thayer County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Timothy Tscharner, 26, of Deshler on Oct. 11 for failure to register as a sex offender.
He was arrested in Deshler and is currently housed in the Jefferson County Jail since the Thayer County Jail is still at capacity.
Tscharner was convicted on January 27, 2005 in Arizona of one count of sexual abuse of a minor which is a class three felony and one county of sexual contact with a minor which is a class two felony.
Thayer County currently has prisoners being held in Jefferson County and Fillmore County.
