Mayor Signs Direct Support Professionals Week Proclamation

Sue McGhghy, Laurie Svanda and Beth Barnes, Region V Services staff, stand next to Mayor Shane Day as he signs a proclamation for Direct Support Professionals Week from September 13-19. Direct support professionals are people who work directly with people with physical disabilities and/or intellectual disabilities with the aim of assisting the individual to become integrated into his/her community. Direct Support Professionals Week celebrates those who do the work of providing these professional services to people with disabilities.
