Post Office Hour Changes

Starting August 24, county post offices will be changing their collection times.

“They’re all basically an hour earlier,” said Mike Prellwitz, Hebron postmaster.

The new times are as follows:
Hebron – 2:45 p.m.
Deshler – 2:20 p.m.
Carleton – 1:30 p.m.
Bruning – 1:40 p.m.
Davenport – 2 p.m.
Chester – 2:30 p.m.
Hubbell – 2:45 p.m.
Byron – 1:55
Reynolds – 3 p.m.
Gilead – 3:05 p.m.
Alexandria – 1:20 p.m.

According to Prellwitz, the change is occurring because everything will soon be going through Omaha. Up until this point, mail was going through Lincoln.
