Senior Legion State Baseball Tourney starts Saturday

Hebron’s contention for the trophy in the Area C5 district tournament came to an end Sunday afternoon after falling to Wymore 3-2. It was  Hebron’s second loss ousting the squad from the double-elimination tourney. Hebron was defeated by Geneva 7-6 the day before.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley was handed its second loss Monday evening after the hosting Wymore team sent the squad home.

Hebron will still compete in the state tournament as hosts this weekend. The tournament begins Saturday July 26 and runs through Wednesday, July 30. All games will be played at the Hebron Sports Complex.

As of press time, a bracket for the state tourney had not been issued; however, one can most likely be found at nelegionbaseball.com following area tournaments.
