Two more extradited in drug bust
Two more individuals were transported to Thayer County after charges were brought against them in the recent drug bust. This brings the total to 14 arrests in the drug sweep that began in May.
According to Thayer County Sheriff David Lee, Pennie Wolford, 44, was extradited from Calif. Wolford faces two counts of distribution of a controlled substance near a school. She was brought back to Thayer County by extradition services on July 31. Wolford is currently being housed in Jefferson County Jail.
The second individual was Jose Lizama, 30, who was extradited from Texas. He currently faces four counts of distribution of a controlled substance near a school. Lizama was under the custody of Texas Department of Corrections when he was extradited. He was brought to Thayer County Jail on Aug. 5 and will be housed there until his trial. After his trial in Thayer County, he must return to Texas to finish his current sentence.
Both will be arraigned in Thayer County Court on Aug. 26.
