Horse whisperer Pate discusses low stress cattle managment

Renowned “horse whisperer” Curt Pate discusses secrets to creating stress free animals during a seminar last week at the Thayer County fairgrounds. Pate said truly understanding an animal’s behavior will lead to successful livestock handling. Approximately 60 area livestock producers were on hand to witness Pate’s exceptional skill at handling large animals. Sponsored through the local Feeder’s Association and Nebraska Cattlemen, the seminar also featured veterinarian Jess Hinrichs of Sutton Vet Clinic who talked about beef quality assurance. Hinrichs is a Bruning native.
