Thayer Central Girls Cross Country Team Makes State

The Thayer Central Titan girls team, as well as Adam Hellbusch from the Titan boys team, were successful in qualifying for this Friday’s State meet.

The Districts meet last Thursday, Oct. 16, was the deciding factor for eligibility into the State meet.

At Districts, the Lady Titans placed second as a team with 70 points.

Rachel Heitmann led the way for the Lady Titans finishing 14th (22:21), Taelyn Virus 15th (22:23), Trinity Call 20th (23:14), Haley Huhman 21st (23:16), Cambrie Cottam 22nd (23:20) and Shawna Timmerman 51st (25:52).

The Titans boy team finished eighth out of 12 teams with 108 points.

Adam Hellbusch led the way for the Titans finishing 9th in a time of 18:08.

The State meet will be held in Kearney at the Country Club on Friday Oct. 24.

The Class D girls run at noon and the Class D boys run at 1 p.m.
