Bitter Cold Sweeps Through Midwest

The warm winter fluke of Nebraska is over and the frost and frigid temperatures are back.

Thayer County received a light snow Jan. 3 and 4.

Wind chills reached as low as -18 degrees over the weekend and the temperature dropped into the single digits.

Wednesday is estimated to have a high of a whole whopping eight degrees.

However, according to the National Weather Service, the latter part of this week, as well as this weekend, will peak into the 20s.

Saturday shows a 20 percent chance of snow.
