Summer reading at Secrest

Dream Big…Read

There’s still time to attend: K-4th grade: June 12 and 26 – Preschool: June 13 and 27

Secrest Library is again holding its annual summer reading throughout the month of June. This year’s theme, Dream big…Read, focuses on famous people who dared to dream big and gives special emphasis on exploring the night. Tuesday morning students created owl door hangers while learning about animals who are active at night. Longtime activity director for the summer reading program, Anne Baden, leads the crafts each year. There are 104 registered students in the program this year, plus several unexpected walk-ins, said Librarian Terry Olson. “Everyone is always welcome to attend,” she added.
